Sheraton Mustika Yogyakarta Resort & Spa Gelar Green Walk 2015

On the 7th year of participations to prove our responsibility to conserve the earth and keep it green, Sheraton Mustika Yogyakarta Resort & Spa under the Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide Inc., proudly brought “AIR FOR LIFE” , dedicated to mother nature that gives us the land for a stand and the air for our breath. We will have it at the conservation area around the one of Cultural Site , Sambisari Temple, and our property.

In association with Earth Hour Yogyakarta – Indonesia – Global, Cultural Studies Centre for Heritage Preservation of Yogyakarta, and many communities that are concerned to the environmental issues, will hold these activites from March 7th, 2015 until the black-out night on March 28th, 2015. The activities are consist of Green Care, Green Walk, and Green in Black.

Sheraton Mustika Yogyakarta Resort & Spa bersama segenap associates dengan menggandeng beberapa komunitas seperti Earth Hour Jogja, Dimas Diajeng Sleman, Dimas Diajeng Bantul, Putri Indonesia Yogyakarta 2015, dan jajaran pemerintah terkait, telah turut berpartisipasi dalam gerakan penyelamatan bumi dengan berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan Green Walk 2015 yang diadakan oleh Sheraton Mustika Yogyakarta Resort & Spa pada hari Jumat, 13 Maret 2015 mulai pukul 07.00 WIB.

Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan berjalan kaki dari Sheraton Mustika Yogyakarta Resort &spa; menuju salah satu benda cagar budaya, Candi Sambisari, di desa Sambisari, Kabupaten Sleman, DI. Yogyakarta.

Setelah melakukan perjalanan sejauh 4 km tersebut, segenap peserta bersama dengan Staf Ahli Wakil Bupati Sleman Bidang Pembangunan, Bapak Kunto, beserta Kepala Bidang Pengembangan Pariwisata, Ibu Evi, aparat desa setempat, dan Dimas Diajeng Yogyakarta bersama – sama melakukan bersih Candi, pemasangan tempat sampah, juga penanaman 200 batang pohon di sekitar area Candi Sambisari.

Dalam sambutannya General Manager Sheraton Mustika Yogyakarta Resort & Spa bilang, bahwa sebagai perusahaan pihaknya akan selalu concern terhadap isu – isu lingkungan hidup serta akan terus aktif dalam setiap kegiatan penyelamatan lingkungan.

Sementara itu, Staf Ahli Wakil Bupati Sleman, Bapak Kunto, dalam sambutannya menyambut baik kegiatan yang diadakan oleh Sheraton Mustika Yogyakarta Resort & Spa ini, karena Kabupaten Sleman juga tengah mencanangkan tagline Wisata Seribu Candi dan mendukung penuh seluruh kegiatan yang ikut memperindah dan melestarikan benda – benda cagar budaya di Kabupaten Sleman, salah satunya sepert Candi Sambisari ini.

Kegiatan ini juga diisi dengan konsultasi kesehatan dan pengobatan gratis bagi masyarakat sekitar Sambisari. Masyarakat menyambut baik kegiatan ini, ditunjukkan dengan tingginya antusiasme warga sekitar dalam mengikuti kegiatan konsultasi dan pengobatan gratis ini.

Selanjutnya, Sheraton Mustika Yogyakarta Resort & Spa akan mengadakan pemadaman lampu di seluruh area publik selama 1 jam penuh mulai pukul 20.30 WIB hingga 21.30 WIB pada Sabtu, 28 Maret 2015. Acara ini juga akan diisi oleh beberapa art performance oleh berbagai komunitas selama pemadaman lampu ini. Kami juga akan mengajak seluruh tamu untuk turut bergabung bersama kami dengan memadamkan lampu di kamarnya.
